Financial and bond requirements
Commercial contractors submit an audited or reviewed CPA-prepared financial statement (within the last 12 months) showing a net worth of $50,000 for major classifications and $20,000 for specialty classifications. A $100,000 commercial contractor license bond is required. General liability insurance of $300,000 per occurrence / $600,000 aggregate is required, plus workers' compensation coverage if the applicant has 5 or more employees. Renewal and CE
