Scope of Work

A Missouri Elevator Mechanic license authorizes an individual to construct, install, alter, service, repair, or maintain elevators and related conveyances regulated by the Division of Fire Safety. Experience and Training

Applicants must document a minimum of four (4) years of prior experience and acceptable training, AND have either successfully passed the mechanic examination of a nationally recognized training program acceptable to the board (e.g., NEIEP, NAEC CET) or possess a certificate of completion of a registered apprenticeship for elevator mechanics through the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.
