Continuing education — plumbers in North Carolina

State CE requirement

NORTH-CAROLINA · plumber

0 hours every 1 year

Mandatory continuing education for plumbing contractors was eliminated by the NC State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating, and Fire Sprinkler Contractors on December 31, 2012, and is no longer a condition of annual license renewal. The Board does not review or approve CE providers or courses and does not require hours to be reported. The Board continues to encourage voluntary continuing education in plumbing code, fuel gas, HVAC, fire sprinkler, and business management topics to stay current with codes and industry practices. Licensees renewing annually still must pay the renewal fee and keep contact information current with the Board.
