Continuing education — hvac technicians in North Carolina

State CE requirement

NORTH-CAROLINA · hvac

0 hours every 1 year

North Carolina does not currently require continuing education for heating (H-class) contractor license renewal. The NC Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating, and Fire Sprinkler Contractors eliminated mandatory CE in 2012; the Board does not approve CE providers or courses and does not collect CE hour reports. Licenses still renew annually (expire December 31), and federal EPA Section 608 certification is separately required for any technician handling regulated refrigerants.
