Continuing education — plumbers in Florida

State CE requirement

FLORIDA · plumber

14 hours every 2 years

CILB requires 14 hours of continuing education each 2-year renewal cycle for both Certified and Registered plumbing contractors. At least one hour each must be completed in Workers' Compensation, Business Practices, Workplace Safety, Laws and Rules, and the Advanced Module Building Code; the remaining hours are general and typically cover business management and trade-specific topics. Wind mitigation methodology is required for General, Building, Residential, Roofing, Specialty Structure, and Glass and Glazing contractors but is not required for plumbing contractors. A single 14-hour completion renews all CILB certificates and county registrations held by the licensee.
