Under SC Code of Regulations 8-150, CLB mechanical specialty licensees, including plumbing contractors, must complete 24 hours of approved continuing education per 2-year registration cycle. The reporting period runs July 1 to June 30 of each odd-numbered year. Hours cannot be carried over to the next cycle. Residential Specialty Plumbing contractors licensed under the SC Residential Builders Commission are not currently required to complete CE to renew; confirm current RBC CE status before renewal.
