Oregon Building Codes Division requires Journeyman Plumbers (JP) to complete 24 hours of continuing education every three-year renewal cycle. The required breakdown includes 16 hours on the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), 4 hours on code changes, and 4 hours on Oregon Rule and Law (ORL). Water Heater Installer and Water Treatment Installer licenses are exempt from CE. Solar Heating and Cooling System Installer (STL) requires 8 hours every three years on the UPC.
