State CE requirement

4 hours every 1 year

Beginning January 1, 2025, Alabama requires 4 hours of continuing education each year for all Journeyman and Master Plumber and Gas Fitter certificate holders who do not qualify for an age exemption. Licensees holding both plumbing and gas certifications must obtain 2 hours of plumbing CE and 2 hours of gas CE. Licensees over age 65 are not required to complete CE under PGFB rules. Source: Ala.
