Continuing education — plumbers in Oklahoma

State CE requirement

OKLAHOMA · plumber

6 hours every 3 years

Oklahoma Construction Industries Board requires 6 hours of continuing education every 3 years (36 months) preceding the license expiration date, for both plumbing journeymen and plumbing contractors. CE material must cover codes and revisions adopted by the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission (OUBCC) and trade-related topics approved by the Plumbing Examiners Committee. A licensee is exempt from CE for the first 3 years after passing the current licensing exam. CE credit may also be earned by teaching an approved CE class, teaching at an accredited trade school, or participating as an OUBCC technical-committee designate.
