State CE requirement

SOUTH-DAKOTA · plumber

hours every 1 year

The South Dakota Plumbing Commission, within the Department of Labor and Regulation, requires Journeyman, Master, and Contractor Plumbers to complete approved continuing education each renewal, per Administrative Rules of South Dakota (ARSD) 20:51. Hours must include a plumbing-code update course based on the edition currently adopted by South Dakota. Only commission-approved providers and courses count. Licensees renew annually. Verify the current hour requirement, approved courses, and plumbing-code edition on the SD Plumbing Commission Continuing Education page (https://dlr.sd.gov/bdcomm/plumbing/continuing_education.aspx) before each renewal.
