Oregon Building Codes Division requires 24 hours of continuing education every three-year renewal cycle for General Journeyman Electricians (J). The required breakdown includes 4 hours of code change (CC), 4 hours of Oregon Rule and Law (ORL), and 16 hours of code-related (CR) content. Electrical licenses renew every three years on October 1. Limited energy technicians (LEA, LEB) and other specialty classes carry different hour totals.
