State CE requirement

Every Alabama HVAC contractor must complete 4 hours of continuing education each year under HACR rules. A contractor may take up to 8 hours in a single year and carry 4 hours forward to the next renewal cycle. State rules require CE to be completed by November 1 each year. Federal EPA Section 608 Technician Certification is a separate federal requirement and does not expire.
