Tennessee does not currently impose a statewide continuing education requirement on the Limited Licensed Electrician (LLE) credential or on the Tennessee Contractor License (CE classification) for renewal. Licensees should still confirm the current rule with the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors before each renewal because the CE rule can change. Local jurisdictions that operate their own codes offices may impose city- or county-level CE obligations on top of the state license.
