State CE requirement

Georgia requires 4 continuing education hours per license year (8 hours per 2-year renewal cycle) for each licensed statewide Electrical Contractor. Courses must be in an area related to electrical contracting as prescribed by the Division. Licensees must retain written documentation of completed CE for a minimum of five years and may be randomly audited.

  • Accredited colleges and universities
  • Post-secondary institutes under the Georgia Board of Technical and Adult Education (or equivalent agency of another state or local government)
  • Trade, technical, or professional organizations
  • Public utilities
  • Electrical equipment manufacturers (product-promotion courses are not eligible)
