Continuing education — electricians in Indiana

State CE requirement

INDIANA · electrician

hours every years

Indiana does not license electricians or electrical contractors at the state level, so there is no state-mandated electrical continuing education requirement. Electrical licensing is handled at the municipal level, and cities such as Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Evansville, South Bend, Gary, and Hammond each set their own renewal cycles and continuing-education requirements (if any). Indiana adopts the National Electrical Code through the Indiana Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission; local inspectors enforce the adopted edition. Licensees should verify the current CE requirement with the city or county that issued the local license before each renewal. Source: Indiana Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission.
