State CE requirement

PENNSYLVANIA · electrician

hours every years

Pennsylvania has no statewide electrician license, so no statewide CE rule exists. Philadelphia L&I requires eight hours of NFPA 70 (NEC) continuing education each year to renew the Electrical Contractor license (https://www.phila.gov/services/permits-violations-licenses/get-a-license/trade-licenses/get-an-electrical-contractor-license/). Pittsburgh PLI requires eight CE hours for annual renewal of the Electrical Trade License (https://pittsburghpa.gov/pli/electrical-trade-license). The statewide PA Home Improvement Contractor registration through the Attorney General has no continuing-education requirement, only biennial renewal (https://www.attorneygeneral.gov/resources/home-improvement-contractor-registration/).
