State CE requirement

Georgia requires 4 continuing education hours per license year (8 hours per 2-year renewal cycle) for each licensed Conditioned Air Contractor, per Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. Chapter 121-4. Courses must relate to conditioned air contracting in the areas of safety, technological advances, business management, or government regulations (Rule 121-4-.05). Licensees must retain written CE documentation for at least five years and may be randomly audited. CE is not required for Conditioned Air Contractors who also hold an active Georgia Professional Engineer license.

  • Post-secondary institutes under the Georgia Board of Technical and Adult Education (or equivalent agency of another state or local government)
  • Trade, technical, or professional organizations
  • Public utilities
  • Conditioned air equipment manufacturers (product-promotion courses are not eligible)
