Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) commercial contractor licenses, including Mechanical (which covers HVAC as a sub-classification), are not required to complete continuing education for renewal under current LSLBC rules. Residential building contractors must complete 6 hours of CE annually by December 31. Federal EPA Section 608 Technician Certification is a separate federal requirement and does not expire.
