Continuing education — hvac technicians in Colorado

State CE requirement

COLORADO · hvac

hours every years

Colorado does not issue a statewide HVAC license, so there is no statewide HVAC continuing-education mandate. EPA Section 608 technician certification credentials do not expire once earned, per EPA (https://www.epa.gov/section608/section-608-technician-certification). Any continuing-education requirement for HVAC or mechanical contracting in Colorado is set by the municipality or regional building department that issues the license (for example, Denver Community Planning and Development, Pikes Peak Regional Building Department). Verify current CE rules with the specific issuing authority before renewal.

Approved providers

  • EPA 608 is lifetime. Municipal mechanical licenses set their own CE rules.
